How To Be Romantic,
The Simple Way

Romance is the cement of relationships… so if you know how to be romantic, your partner is going to be happy and your love life is going to be fulfilled.

So how can you do this?

Well, the basic principle of romance is to show your loved one how much you feel about him or her.

Which means that all romantic ideas show your partner that you care enough about him or her to make an effort to do something especially for their enjoyment.

These gestures can be big or small. Ideally, you should try and get a mix of both…too many big gestures can seem over the top. Not enough and your partner might feel a bit neglected. Aim for a healthy balance and you can't go wrong.

Being romantic is all about your attitude – what you do, what you say and the way you look at your partner are all important. So even something simple like putting aside time to spend with him or her is romantic.

The best way to get into a romantic frame of mind is to sit quietly and try and think with your heart rather than with your mind. This might be tricky at first but with practice you'll get better.

Think of all the wonderful things your loved one has done for you and the special moments he or she has brought into your life. The more you think about the positive aspects of your relationship, the more the chances are that your heart will be fired up into taking the perfect romantic action for you as a couple!

Another tip for learning how to be romantic is to understand that the best romantic gestures are completely personal to your partner, creative and unexpected. Blend these three things together and your partner's heart will melt!

A great way to succeed at this is to really start listening to your loved one. Really hear what their likes and dislikes are, what their hopes and desires are and notice whenever they have an opinion about something. This will help you come up with romantic ideas that are tailored especially to them.

And it shows him or her that you're genuinely interested in them as a person…especially if you've remembered something that they said a long time ago.

So, for example, they might casually mention they’ve seen something they love while they’ve been out shopping but they think it’s too expensive to buy…buying it for them would definitely prove that you know how to be romantic!

Then surprise them with your romantic idea…giving them a treat when they least expect it will greatly increase the impact that it has on them. So don’t limit your romantic activities just to birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

And enjoy knowing how to be romantic…after all, when you’ve made the person you love happy, it’ll be just as pleasurable an experience for you.
