Romantic Travel Destinations

The secret to choosing the best romantic travel destinations is to plan what you BOTH want to do so that BOTH of you are happy...no one wants big fights on a romantic getaway!

And, of course, the essence of romance is to be thoughtful and considerate towards your loved one.

So.....

- Do you like lying on the beach? Wearing next to nothing and rubbing sun cream onto each other could have its romantic possibilities…our article on how to give a massage will help you with your technique!

- Do you like action-packed adventure? A combination of thrills and excitement is romantic for adrenaline junkies!

- Do you like cold destinations? The thought of snuggling up together next to an open fire and keeping each other warm appeals to hot-blooded romantics!

- Do you like cities? If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of people-watching and non-stop activity a city break could be perfect for the two of you.

- Do you like the countryside? Getting 'away from it all' on long walks in the middle of nature can be very romantic.

- Do you like sightseeing? Learning about other cultures and visiting interesting landmarks will give the two of you plenty to do and talk about.

- Do you just want to stay in bed all day??? If so, pick your hotel carefully. Where it is isn't as important as the quality of the room and the level of room service!

- How long do you want to go away for? Do you want a getaway that's short and sweet or long and luxurious?

Knowing all this can really help you to narrow down the options.

Where you go is also going to depend on your budget. Worrying about money and over-spending will take all the romance out of a romantic getaway. Romantic travel destinations don't have to be very expensive if you try the following tips:

- Go out of season or mid week. Most airfares and hotel rates are discounted when children are at school.
- Book a last minute deal.
- Save the cost of airfares by choosing a destination that's close enough to drive to.
- Save on hotel costs by getting away for the day or just one night.

The main point of a romantic trip is to be together.
